The ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival is one of the most important literary festivals in India and throughout Asia. It was inaugurated in January 2006 and has visibly grown to become a multidimensional event that takes place every year, with the Diggi Palace Hotel in Jaipur host each year. The Majestic Palace premises serve as the appropriate setting for the series of events that take place during the 5-day program.  In its very essence, the Jaipur Literary Festival upholds the freedom of expression in writing and embraces diverging opinions and viewpoints. Above all, it is possible to give ideas to people who like dialogue and temperament. Share the Ideas  - The Jaipur Literary Festival is one of the literary festivals where different cultures and literary powerhouses of the world converge. As the ideas open within five days of the event, many people are interested in entering the brain environment. Most events take place in places where people are waiting to exchange ideas and interact with personalities from the world of literature, media and music. The Festival is a true platform for literary brotherhood to participate in great speeches around the world.

 

Throughout the duration of the Jaipur Literature Festival, musicians, authors, lyricists and film personalities share space in a harmonious blend of different forms of art. Music and other performances accompany a huge series of reading books, lectures, debates and discussions. The Festival brings together an eclectic group of authors, thinkers and critics, who give lectures, hold lectures and inspire the public to come back every year. The deeply interested public is exposed to theatre, poetry, fiction, non-fiction and a variety of related and topical issues.
 
The Festival, which was originally an initiative of the Foundation Jaipur Derasat, has experienced improvisations and slight changes in formats since its creation. It developed not only in terms of scale, but also in its contents. There are even live music sessions and interactive workshops on movies and media.

The literary Festival of Jaipur has become a source of ideas and human expression on subjects that cover all aspects of human life. A real list of guest speakers and personalities from all over India and around the world is also present at this festival. The festival offers promising writers the opportunity to present their writings, even as the festival celebrates different viewpoints and human perspectives on a barrage of serious issues facing the world, be it literary , political, social, historical or even economic.
 
Several personalities known as Salman Rushdie, VS Naipaul, Paul Theroux, Vikram Seth, Pico Iyer, Michael Ondaatje, HariKunzru, Pankaj Mishra, Tariq Ali, Ahmed Rashid, Patrick French, Shashi Tharoor, Shobha De, Kiran Desai, Kamila Shamie, Amit Chaudhuri, Eimer McBride and several others honoured the Festival's events in its annual editions. It is a delight for book lovers to be in a company so Augustus and to be able to take part in the circulation of ideas in a cerebral and liberating environment.

 

The festival's directors, Namita Gokhale and William Dalrymple, who are also eminent writers, have succeeded in the transition from the festival to one of the most frequented events, which hosts an impressive number of visitors each year. The Festival is also known for the application of best practices in the field of logistics and hospitality and has aroused words of appreciation of the patrons and organizers of the most famous literary festivals. The festival is supported by the State Tourism Department, various institutions and trusts.

The year 2015 was marked by a huge interest in gender equality in India, which found support from American women. The festival witnessed 300 events spread over 10 sites that include some of the most magnificent heritage sites in Jaipur. In 2015, three awards were instituted and announced, including the DSC Award for South Asian Literature, the Ojas Art Award and the Khushwant Singh Memorial Award for poetry. About three hundred speakers and more than 140 musicians were present on the site this year. ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival is also organized in Southbank, London. It responds to a great need for exposure to South Asian writing to the world and access to publishing houses. It was launched in 2014 and has a huge wave of success. The events are labeled for the public, however.
